Effective resolution—

PPI is a planning metric, not a guarantee of sharpness or printer quality.

PNG export contains selected pixels only. Margins are excluded; your target PPI is not embedded.

Your photo toolkit

How it works

Start with image pixel dimensions or load a JPG, PNG or WebP. Choose a physical print size and a target pixels-per-inch value. PhotoMath calculates effective resolution after cropping, rather than treating every source pixel as available for every print shape. The crop position can be changed without changing the amount of retained image area. Use the frame calculator to add equal mat borders and moulding widths, then transfer those outer dimensions into a centered wall grid. Settings stay in this browser across pages and languages. Loaded photos stay in memory and are never uploaded or stored by the tools.

Frequently asked questions

Are photos uploaded or saved?

No. Image decoding, preview and export happen in your browser. Only numeric settings are saved locally. Reloading removes loaded photos; use the demo to try the image workflow.

Does a 300 PPI result guarantee a sharp print?

No. Focus, source quality, viewing distance, paper and the printing process also matter. Choose a target appropriate to your intended output.

Are centimetres and inches interchangeable here?

Yes. Settings are stored in millimetres and converted for display. Changing units preserves the same physical sizes.
